Who is Dark Reader?

I began writing stories in 2017, inspired by the work of other writers I had read. The first story I wrote was Even The Fallen Can Rise Again, a story inspired by the game series Destiny that follows an Eliskni Guardian doing his part to protect the Last City and uncover his past. I worked on it for a few years before going on hiatus during COVID and after.

Later on in 2024, I started on my new story, Smiling World, a story about the Smiling Critters from the Poppy Playtime series after being inspired by multiple internet videos about the Smiling Critters. Now I’m doing my best to continue my work despite having to also coup with other things in life.

If you love fiction that mixes emotional weight with whimsical touches, you’re in the right place.

📘 Discover Smiling World – A Journey from Horror to Healing

Aiden Cooper barely escaped the nightmare of Playtime Co, only to wake up in a world that feels both alien and oddly familiar. As he battles the ghosts of his past, he may just discover a new kind of family in WoodsBurrow — one built on kindness, friendship, and quiet healing.

Aiden Cooper was just a simple factory worker at Playtime Co until everything turned into a nightmare. The toys meant to bring joy became monsters. Creatures like Catnap and Boxy Boo hunted down everyone in the blood-soaked factory. Aiden watched friends die and barely escaped himself.

After a brutal fight, he woke up injured in a strange peaceful forest where he met a younger version of Dogday—not a toy, but a real living child. Dogday and his mother, Sunshine, took Aiden to their small town called WoodsBurrow, where animals walked and talked like people.

I'm glad you like it. I didn't even think of it until a while after I named Aiden.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Richmountian Readers

Thanks. I actually got the idea for this story after watching that Zoophobia Bad Luck Jack short. The whole time I watch it I was reminded me of the Smiling Critters.

Author Personal Review

It has tail tell signs of being a first attempt of story writing, frequent grammer errors,
amateurish interactions between characters. I could have done more to make the story
more unique than following the main story line. There could have been more
consistency from my characters and made sure I had information of Destiny correct in
some cases
